Carolee Jakes is a painter and printmaker from Northern Virginia. After receiving her BFA from the Corcoran College of Art+Design, she set up Dead Run Studio in McLean, Virginia. Her work combines printing and painting techniques and explores the visual continuum between representation and abstraction. Carolee’s work can be found in the collections of the Pew Charitable Trust, the National Gallery of Art: Corcoran Collection, and the Library of Congress Rare Books Collection as well as private collections in the United States and Greece.
